“VISION – a New Wave”,
Euphoria Penang translate an old adage into riveting movement vocabulary! Inspired
by the saying “the eyes are the window to the soul”, “VISION – a New Wave”
features exciting displays of new dance creations choreographed by three emerging
choreographers that remind audiences of the gift of SIGHT. Expect to see the talented
dancers creating “waves” on the window to our soul and a VISION on how they see
the world and beyond with imagination and magic.

aims to promote and develop new dance

creation that revitalises Penang’s multicultural

dance traditions while providing opportunities

for talented artists from diverse backgrounds

and interests to come together. They seek to

represent our community and environment

through dance, a universal language that

brings people together. Euphoria brings and

supports acclaimed, talented, emerging

choreographers local and beyond to create and

present original modern cultural dance, to be

presented in Penang, with the aim to stage

these dance pieces at prestigious performance

venues in cities around the region. It nurtures

young dancers, encouraging them to attain 优悦舞集
professional standards to perform locally and

internationally to promote the vibrant cultures

盲域Blind Zone

Is human born naturally good or evil?
The judgment of goodness and evil is
neither right or wrong, nor absolute, but
only based on the differences of thinking
dimension. We are used to formulaic
thinking accustomed to preconceive. Our
eyes are being encoded, shapes our vision
into what the society wants.
Sometimes our perception is being
controlled by the moral values of the
society. And sometimes our perception is
being controlled by our subconscious.
Like, our eyes are blinded by "invisible
cloth". Like, blue and yellow are hiding in
the world of green.
It is not that you can't see, it is just that
you're in a blind zone, you saw but you
can't see.

是善人恶的之判初断性本没善有还对错是人也没之有初性绝对本，恶只！是基于出发点的差别。

眼见为实Eye in-sight

The clarity of sight can be contaminated by
our surroundings. Some is fortunate enough
to live through their life with clarity.
However, some do not have the privilege to
choose but to survive through the difficulties
of uncertainties. During the process of
surviving through trials, some gave up their
life or some has to loss something that they
cherish most. Do you see what I see? Now, see
like me.

每个人视线的清晰度都是因人而异，幸运的能够清晰地度过一辈子，
也有因为其他因素而受到影响。这就像人生，许多时候你没有选择的
权力，只能在面对种种挑战和困难时，继续想法子活下去。也许有人
在这场考验过程中，舍弃了自己最珍惜的人事物，甚至放弃了自己的
生命。每个人的际遇都有他的独特性，你又能了解得多深?
就像，你看见我看到的，是和我看见的一样吗？

刹那In A Sudden

When life faces extreme moments, we need to
face all our fears, worries and despair. All of
these are invisible. Should we turn a blind
eye, or should we be invisible? Or should we
face it, accept it, deal with it, and let it go...

People will live to death, and your desire to
survive determines your attitude towards life.

当生命面对极度时刻，我们需要面对所有的恐惧、担忧和绝望。
而这一切看不见的一切，究竟要如何切割？

也许应该……面对它、接受它、解决它、放下它?
人都会向死而生，而你的求生欲望，决定你的人生态度。
