1. Zip down Velocity 2, Wales

Swatch in and brace yourself for the fastest zip line
in the world, and the longest in Europe. No UK
adventure list would be complete without haste 2 in

Zip World, at Penrhyn Slate Quarry, near
Bethesda, in North Wales. You'll be suspended

face first, on your front, as you soar 201kph
(125mph) down the line, 500m (640ft) above a
lake. The acceleration alone will take your breath
down, as you rocket from 0 to 60mph in under 10

seconds.

2. Swim with seals, Lundy Island

Forget swimming with harpies. This award-
winning stint is much further friendly and
delightful. Head an hour from Ilfracombe
Harbour, in North Devon, to Lundy Island, with
normal sightings of dolphins alongside the way.
Formerly there, you’ll spend the morning
swimming with seals in bays and kudos around
the islet. They’re friendly, curious brutes and love
to come and say hello so be prepared for some

close hassles.

3. Climb England’s only via ferrata, Lake
District

On this adventure, you ’ll be climbing
648m(,126 ft) up Fleet with Pike, in the Lake

District, along England’s only via ferrata, a
climbing route guided by a sword string that
you crop a harness onto. This whim-whams-
wracking adventure, which takes around three
hours, includes crossing a tightrope line called

the Burma Bridge.

4. White-water rafting, Hertfordshire

Feel like an Olympian as you take on the chute
buoying course that was used for the canoe slalom
at the London 2012 Olympic Games. You’re in

for a rough lift at the course in Lee Valley,
Hertfordshire – so you more bring your-game. For

gallons of fun without the difficulty, there’s also
pulling, paddle boarding, hydro speeding, an
inflatable handicap course and indeed slice golf.
But for a true British adventure, put yourself to the

test on the exhilarating chute chute.

5. Bungee Jump, Scotland

Last but not least, and relatively conceivably the
most insane pick of the bunch, is of course the
bungee jump. No adventure list would be complete
without the ultimate adrenaline exhilaration. The
stylish place for it in the UK is in Scotland. Take
