Basic Instructor Course (BIC) Course Description The instructional design for this course is group-paced. Training includes roles of an instructor, qualities of an instructor, group dynamics, learning theory, counseling theory, instructional methods, multimedia, student measurement, ISD, questioning techniques, communicative process, lesson plan development, and delivering presentations. Student-Centered Active Learning Experience (SC-AL-E) Course Description This course is designed to equip learning professionals with the knowledge and skills to design and deliver student-centered active learning curriculum. Lesson topics include how people learn, characteristics of a facilitator; teaching with emotional intelligence; teaching & learning styles; faculty roles in active learning; active learning strategies; integrating multimedia; learning spaces; designing student-centered active learning courses; writing course control documents; and integrating collaborative learning. Students participate in hands-on active learning activities that they can incorporate directly into their practice. A final capstone project provides students the opportunity to redesign and facilitate a unit of instruction and receive feedback.

Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) Course Description This course provides training for AETC Technical Training staff and instructor personnel charged with the responsibility of training program development and maintenance. The scope of training includes a systematic process used to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training in the most effective and cost-efficient manner, all based on the process of continuous evaluation and improvement.

Training Development Course Description The scope of this course includes training development responsibilities and applicable policies; course planning; course control documents; measurement; instructional materials; validation and service testing; training evaluation; course administration; and development of nonresident training. Training Management Course Description This course provides training for faculty and staff personnel involved in instruction and training development. The scope of training includes training management responsibilities, technical training, training development, programming, scheduling training, production, and training systems. Particular emphasis is given to the roles and responsibilities of the Training Manager. Training Supervisor Course Description This course provides training for individuals selected for instructor/intermediate supervisor duty within a training squadron. Training clarifies the faculty member's function as a first- or second-line instructor supervisor. Training includes applicable AF, AETC, and local directives; student administration and recognition; IS position and responsibilities; instructor training, recognition, and evaluation; training evaluation; and inspection program. Course ID: L3AIRTXXXX 0S2A Course Length: 7 Days - 56 Hours Prerequisite: Completion of BIC or equivalent instructor training course. CCAF Credit: 3 (EDT2809 Supervision of Instruction)

Occupational Survey Data (OSD) Course Description This is a self-paced web-based course. The scope of training includes the purposes and responsibilities of the Occupational Analysis Program; facts about the occupational survey program; job inventory development, administration, and processing; survey data analyses; use of occupational survey report data by technical training users in the training development process; types of training; and selecting tasks that require training.

Conduct a search on the course title or 'OSD'. Click on the course title to access and then click on "Occupational Survey Data (OSD) CBT” and then click on 'ENTER'. Pre-registration is not required. Complete the-on line course and provide the information to generate the automated email response to request the exam. TESTING: For JBSA-Lackland permanent party, make testing arrangements via Faculty Development POC listed below. For students located at other installations, JBSA-Lackland Faculty Development will provide email contact information for the local Education Services Office (ESO) to make arrangements for testing. Technical Writer Course Description This is an AETC Faculty Development group-paced/self-paced course taught by the 37th TRSS Faculty Development flight at JBSA-Lackland, TX. This course provides personnel with the knowledge and skills to develop and maintain technical training course documentation. This course is a foundational course for technical training instructors, instructor supervisors, curriculum developers, TDE chiefs, and Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) developers. Course ID: L3AIRTXXXX 0W1B Course Length: 8 Days - 64 Hours Prerequisite: Completion of ADDIE recommended. CCAF Credit: 3 (FDE2904 Technical Writing) ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES: Students must contact their Unit Training Manager (UTM) for official course requests. UTMs must submit an enrollment request via the FacD course calendar at https://tockify.com/37trssfacultydevelopment. NOTE: This is an AETC course designed for personnel supporting the AETC Technical Training mission. Non-AETC customer requests are allocated on a space-available basis. MASTER INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM This voluntary program denotes exemplary subject-matter expertise and teaching ability the instructor developed through experience and supplementary education. The criteria for achieving master instructor includes an academic degree, teaching experience, continuing education, instructor evaluations, and professional projects (may include credit for instructor awards).

ELIGIBILITY

Technical Training and Education. Applies to formal (Prefix T) technical training instructors, instructor supervisors, Basic Military Training (BMT) readiness and emergency management instructors, and other service instructors teaching in AETC technical training courses. Applies to all education instructor positions. Military Training. Applies to all individuals with special duty identifier 8B000 and assigned to an 8B000 position at the time of nomination.

INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT (ISD) CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

For qualified course/curriculum developers, writers and managers who are formally assigned to an off-campus instructional site to develop/write and manage CCAF collegiate-level credit awarding courses. The ISD Certification is a professional credential that recognizes the course/curriculum developer/writer’s or manager’s extensive training, education, qualifications and experience required to develop/write and manage CCAF courses. The certification also recognizes the individual’s ISD qualifications and experience in planning, developing, implementing and managing instructional systems. The program is designed to broaden faculty and professional development.

ELIGIBILITY Qualified officer, enlisted, civilian and other service curriculum writers and managers are eligible for the ISD Certification. Once an individual leaves curriculum writer or manager duty, they are no longer eligible for the ISD Certification. The awarded ISD certification is recorded on the official CCAF academic record and CCAF transcript. 12

CCAF INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION (CIC) PROGRAM CCAF offers the CCAF Instructor Certification (CIC) Program for qualified faculty who teach CCAF collegiate-level credit-awarding courses at a CCAF off-campus instructional site. The CIC is a professional credential that recognizes the faculty member's extensive faculty development training, education, and qualification required to teach a CCAF course, and formally acknowledges the faculty member's practical teaching experience. The CIC Program is a three-level program consisting of three specific levels of achievement. • CIC-I: designed to formally recognize an individual as a qualified CCAF faculty and their professional accomplishment. • CIC-II: designed to formally recognize the faculty member’s advanced professional accomplishment beyond the CIC-I. • CIC-III: designed to formally recognize the faculty member’s advanced professional accomplishment beyond the CIC-II or Occupational Instructor Certification (OIC).

ELIGIBILITY

Qualified CCAF faculty who meet CIC Program requirements are eligible. Once a faculty member leaves CCAF faculty duty, they are no longer eligible for the CIC. • A qualified instructor is a CCAF faculty member who has completed the CCAF faculty development program and is
